We have been abroad for 14 years. After 5 countries, it is time to come home. We will fly from Johannesburg to Cairo and then travel back overland by public transport through the Middle East and then Europe. This is the record of our trip. We hope you enjoy it.
We miss you already! Am very pleased to see the children are still learning! It has been amazing reading your blog, your writing is absolutely fantastic! I can see you are having a ball! Look forward to the next chapter! Love to all, Wendy
Glad to see you are all doing so well. Egypt is fascinating place. Has anyone offered to buy Elspeth yet? They usually offer 40 camels but I wouldn't let her go for less than 45.
Beccy and I have just come back from a father and daughter and camp at the Vaal organised by the girl scouts. The girls amused themselves while the dad sat around the camp fire, talked rubbish and drank beer. A great time was had by all. Lang was there and sends his regards. I've given him the blog address so he should be hurling abuse - sorry, I mean blogging soon.
Oh hello! Now the pressure's on! Have just about recovered from the camping - it rained, dammit - and looking forward to getting back to a more regular weekend of Dainfern golf, Loftus rugby and mountain bike accidents. Missing Gilleasbuig's sporadic attempts on my life and Andy's calming influence on the golf course - we played the Gary Player at Sun City and no one swore for the first nine holes!!! Decidedly off-putting. How are the Egyptian platters? Brian's move to The Stormers looks like an inspired choice - could well be a Stormers vs. Crusaders final judged on current form. Cheers, Matthew
